We believe that the message about Jesus Christ is good news for our world; news which is relevant to everybody whatever their circumstances. It affects our past, our present and our future.
Past - we can know forgiveness from our wrong actions and attitudes (our sin).
Present - we can have a real purpose in daily living as we seek to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus and live lives that will honour him.
Future - we can have a sure hope for the future, not just in this life, but also after death.
The Bible tells us that 'God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.' 1 Jesus explains, "I have come . . . to give my life as a ransom for many."2 All this is a gift to us, through God's love, as we put our trust in him alone. 'The gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.' 3
God did not intend that Christians should live out their faith on their own but that, as his children, we should encourage one another. Our aim is that we will encourage each other
in worshipping God
in showing his love towards others
in growing in our understanding and seeking to become more like Jesus.
The Bible, as God's Word, is important to us and many of our activities are designed to help us to understand it better and to apply its teachings to our lives. We would like others to hear this good news too, and we try to organise activities which are accessible to those who have not yet come to faith.
